About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Vetro Recruitment. As an Independent Personal Advisor, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to women and children who have experienced domestic violence and abuse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to service users
  • Assess the risks and needs of service users and develop tailored support plans
  • Signpost and support service users to various agencies and services
  • Promote the service and engage with external agencies
  • Undertake training and development to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Hold a SafeLives IDVA training certificate or a relevant degree or demonstrable equivalent experience
  • Driving licence and access to own vehicle is essential
  • Have an understanding of domestic violence and abuse, including the impact on victims and their children
  • Understand child protection issues and how to effectively safeguard
  • Experience in engaging with external agencies
  • Strong crisis management skills and excellent IT and communication skills
