About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Support Worker to join our team at Cardiff and Vale College. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing person-centred support to individuals and groups of learners, fostering independence and resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing support to learners with additional learning needs, learning difficulties, and/or disabilities.
- Contributing to annual person-centred reviews for learners with statutory plans.
- Acting as a role model, champion, and advocate for learners with ALN or LDD.
- Working with staff and other professionals to promote learner independence.
- Supporting the provision of access arrangements and reasonable adjustments.
Requirements:
- 5 GCSEs grade A-C (including Maths and English) or equivalent.
- Experience of working with people with additional learning needs, learning difficulties, and/or disabilities.
- Experience of working within education or a care setting.
