IT Security Manager

Sheffield, South Yorkshire based company in the manufacturing sector is seeking an experienced IT Security Manager to join their team. This is a key role that requires someone with strong technical skills and leadership abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage firewalls, threat monitoring and endpoint protection using CrowdStrike and security solutions around MDM.
  • Oversee the security impact on PC/laptop/mobile phone builds, password policies and VLANs.
  • Coordinate the day-to-day workload, collaborate with other teams to enhance the business's current stance and work with suppliers to implement tools.
  • Maintain the Information Security risk register, conduct DPIAs and security design assessments.
  • Prepare reports for the board on threats and vulnerabilities as a senior leader within the organisation's IT function.
  • Leverage your people-management skills as you will directly line manage 1 x Security Analyst.

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a senior role within the IT department and contribute to the company's growth and success. As a result, occasional travel to relevant company sites may be required.

Requirements:

  • Possess a strong IT Security background with an infrastructure foundation, ideally with 3-5 years of experience in a technical role covering IT Security responsibilities.
  • Understand firewalls, core infrastructure, network security, and endpoint security systems, such as CrowdStrike.
  • Experience working with endpoint security across mobile devices and managing third-party vendors.
  • Familiarity with Information Security frameworks, including ISO27001.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to convey complex security concepts to senior stakeholders.

The salary for this position is £55k - £65k per annum. Benefits include hybrid working, pension scheme, private healthcare insurance, and 26 days annual leave (not including bank holidays). The successful candidate will be located in South Yorkshire and be flexible regarding occasional travel to company sites.
