Main Responsibilities

The Academic Quality Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring the implementation and monitoring of policies, procedures, and systems of partner awarding bodies across programmes delivered by GBS Global Applied Knowledge.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Policy Implementation: Collaborate with the Academic Standards and Quality Office to ensure the effective implementation of policies and procedures across all campuses and programmes of study.
  • Quality Monitoring: Contribute to the maintenance, review, and updating of GBS academic policies and procedures to ensure they are aligned with industry standards and best practices.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Write high-quality reports using quantitative and qualitative data to inform internal and external stakeholders about the quality of education and student outcomes.
  • Quality Enhancement: Lead the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of enhancements to ensure a cycle of continuous improvement in quality assurance and enhancement at GBS.
  • Internal Quality Audits: Coordinate and undertake internal quality audit tasks to ensure compliance with awarding body requirements and GBS policies.
  • Student Support: Support GBS's student-facing processes, ensuring timely responses and satisfactory outcomes for students.
  • Administrative Support: Act as secretary to GBS boards and committees as required, and work with the Associate Director and/or Academic Quality Manager to complete tasks and projects.
Requirements

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Excellent Written Skills: Proven experience in report writing and ability to compile, analyze, and evaluate qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with academic and professional services staff, students, and external stakeholders.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to work to challenging deadlines and deliver set objectives with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel to GBS campuses as required.
