Job Overview

SEND Inclusion Support is a specialist school in Luton that provides an inclusive and supportive environment for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

We are currently looking for a skilled and dedicated SEND Teacher to join our team. As a SEND Teacher, you will play a vital role in designing and delivering lessons that cater to the individual needs of our students.

You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals to develop and implement personalized learning plans that address the unique needs of each student.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lesson Design: Create engaging and interactive lessons that cater to the individual needs of students with SEND and complex needs.
  2. Inclusive Classroom Environment: Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels safe, respected, and valued.
  3. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  4. Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and monitor students' progress, providing constructive feedback to students and their families.
  5. Teaching Strategies: Utilize a range of teaching strategies and resources to engage and motivate students with diverse learning styles.
  6. Pupil Support: Support pupils' personal and social development, helping them build confidence and independence.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with primary-aged students with SEND, ideally in a special school or similar setting.
  • Knowledge of various SEND conditions and effective strategies to support students' learning and development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of children with SEND.
