This exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Healthcare Support Worker to join our dynamic team within the Acute Medicine Unit. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with healthcare professionals across the interface of acute and primary care, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of new knowledge and skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high standards of patient care, working effectively within a team to achieve excellent patient outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain excellent interpersonal skills, building strong relationships with colleagues, patients, and families.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care, adhering to Mandatory Induction Standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland.
  • Contribute to the improvement of patient experience, identifying opportunities for innovation and best practice.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, achieving SVQIII or equivalent, and maintaining a working knowledge of Mandatory Induction Standards.
Requirements
  • SVQII level education or equivalent.
  • Experience as a Healthcare Support Worker in an in-patient hospital setting.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Mandatory Induction Standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team, delivering high standards of patient care.

Full-time hours are preferred, but various hours are available. You will work over 7 days, including day and night rotation.
