Procurement Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team at the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS). The successful candidate will report to the Head of Supply Chain and will be based in Staverton, Gloucester, UK.

To be considered for this role, you will need to bring the following qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field of study
  • 6+ years of relevant procurement experience, preferably in manufacturing
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, influence, and negotiate
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • CPM, APICS, CPIM preferred

As a Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Supervising the day-to-day operations of the procurement team to achieve key results in support of the business and the company's external supply chain
  • Developing and executing procurement strategies and ensuring their alignment with achievement of the company's key results
  • Leading key supplier Business Review process, including supplier performance feedback metric review
  • Realigning supplier delivery schedules to customer demand
  • Ensuring the implementation of and adherence to standard operating procedures to ensure superior levels of performance
  • Using and assisting in maturation of monthly 'Dashboard' of KPIs regarding supply base delivery performance, utilizing this information as the basis of prioritizing Supply Chain performance improvement
  • Continuously enhancing the skills of team members by coaching, training, and/or mentoring activities
