Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Radiographer to join our team at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust. As a Senior Radiographer, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive and efficient imaging service, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist radiologists and other radiographers in patient examinations, ensuring a high level of patient care and comfort.
  • Undertake all radiographic duties, including supervisory responsibilities, to maintain a high-quality service.
  • Liaise with other disciplines within the Trust and Directorate to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Participate in the radiology shift system, including rotation through CT, general x-ray, fluoroscopy, theatre, ED, mobile work, and other flexible working commitments.
  • Undertake tasks for which a radiographer has been trained, including practitioner, radiology assistant, or clerical duties.
  • Ensure all work areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.
  • Maintain professionally high standards in appearance, hygiene, manner, punctuality, attendance, and competence in accordance with HCPC and Department standards.

Person Specification
  • DCR or BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography and HCPC registration.
  • Substantial NHS general Radiographic experience.
  • Evidence of CT working and basic scanning competencies.
  • Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Professional attitude to working as part of a caring, multidiscipline team in a pressurised environment.
