We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading the care team on the Witherow ward, which specializes in male elderly care medicine.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert nursing care to patients with a variety of medical conditions, including frailty and hospitalised deconditioning.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure effective and high-quality care is delivered.
- Develop and implement quality improvement projects to address frailty, hospitalised deconditioning, and reducing long length of stay.
- Contribute to the development of care pathways and discharge processes for patients with elderly care needs.
- Lead the care team and ensure professionalism is maintained amongst staff.
- Active Registration with the NMC.
- Degree/diploma in a health-related subject.
- Evidence of postgraduate education/CPD.
- Evidence of close working with all members of the multidisciplinary team in a medicine for the elderly ward.
- Awareness of recent developments within nursing, particularly care of the elderly.
- Awareness of national guidelines and standards of care of the elderly.
- Proven experience in a care of the elderly specialism.
- Experience of implementing quality improvement projects based on evidence-based practice.
- Experience in clinical audit, research, or policy/guideline development.
