Job Opportunity: Adult Autism Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Adult Autism Specialist to join our team at Surrey County Council. As an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP), you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake statutory duties as laid out in the Mental Health Act, the Care Act, and as part of the AMHP service.
  • Provide professional leadership and support to staff and students through supervision and training.
  • Contribute to the development of staff and students through supervision and training.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for individuals.

We offer a competitive salary of £46,399 - £49,588, plus a £3,000 per annum AMHP allowance, based on a 36 hour working week. You will also have access to a range of benefits, including a pension scheme and opportunities for professional development.

Requirements:
  • Ability to maintain personal Approved Mental Health Professional status (Warranted).
  • Professional Qualification in Social Work.
  • Post qualifying experience that should include direct work with those who have mental health needs.
  • A current full driving licence and have use of a vehicle.
  • A working knowledge of legislation, assessments, preparation of care plans, monitoring and reviewing outcomes.
