Rail Operational Standards Manager

We are seeking an exceptional rail standards professional to join our team and ensure we deliver top-notch training.

As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in reviewing and updating crucial rail safety documents to govern our rail activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Document Management: Oversee the review and update of critical rail safety documents to ensure they remain current and compliant.
  • Rail Safety System Management: Ensure the Rail Safety System is fit for purpose and maintain key documents such as the General Railway Rule Book, Local Railway Working Instructions, and Joint Method of Working.
  • Training Excellence: Leverage your expertise to deliver comprehensive rail-related training to all Kuehne + Nagel rail staff and update rail training policies to ensure they are current, valid, and appropriate for our operations.
  • Expert Guidance: Provide practical support, advice, and guidance on safety issues to the Head of Rail Operations and Safety.
Requirements:
  • An excellent understanding of Railway Operating Standards and procedures.
  • In-depth knowledge of LRWI's, MoW's and the MOD GRRB.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience of Managing Operating Standards.
  • Competency to Train and Assess Driving and Shunting Staff.
  • A working knowledge of Health and Safety, Quality and Safety Management systems and Legal compliance requirements.
  • A qualified Driver and Shunter or willingness to undertake necessary training.
