About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mortgage Underwriter to join our team at Ultimate Banking. As an Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in assessing and underwriting mortgage applications to ensure all lending complies with our credit risk policy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and underwrite mortgage applications to ensure compliance with our credit risk policy
  • Work with the processing team to assist in the preparation of case files
  • Assist our intermediary partners by discussing potential new applications
  • Develop and maintain a good understanding of the mortgage process
  • Work under pressure to tight deadlines with a 'can do' attitude
Requirements
  • Current or recent Underwriting Mandate
  • Good knowledge of Buy to Let lending (to include Limited Company, HMO and Multi lets)
  • Good understanding of the mortgage process
  • Knowledge of working under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Record/file management experience
  • Experience of working in a team
  • Ability to prioritise tasks
  • Excellent communication skills
