The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of the battery materials project by identifying and mitigating potential hazards throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies, adhering to industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Review process design documents, including P&IDs, to ensure adherence to safety principles.
- Participate in project meetings and effectively communicate safety considerations to engineers, operators, and other stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant legislation and standards for battery material production.
- Maintain a strong understanding of process safety management (PSM) principles.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Process Safety Engineer in the chemical or related industry and a strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies (LOPA, FMEA, etc.). Self-motivation and a strong commitment to safety are essential for this role.
