Job Summary

The Asset Management Associate will play a key role in formulating and executing asset management strategies on a growing Pan European portfolio across the value add and opportunistic risk spectrum and across different asset classes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver asset level business and repositioning plans across European jurisdictions and asset classes.
  • Oversight of third-party operating partners, property management and other external advisors related to the portfolio.
  • Manage the annual budget process.
  • Manage strategic asset level plans, including reforecasting and quarterly distribution recommendations.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely reporting: review of monthly third-party reports, as well as assisting in the compilation of internal asset management portfolio and investor reports.
  • Liaise with property appraisers on the quarterly valuation process, providing relevant updates, reviewing methodology and validating outputs.
  • Manage the bank financing process (i.e. compliance reporting, monitor debt covenants, debt service, performance updates).
  • Assist with liquidity events, including refinancings and disposals.
  • Support acquisition teams with due diligence efforts performed during the acquisition phase, specifically: tenant interviews, underwriting assumptions (market rent, lease up timing, leasing costs, and capital improvements) and third-party reports (environmental and engineering reports.
  • Assist with wider company initiatives, including ESG and data collection strategies.
  • Maintaining and applying strong local market knowledge (i.e. competition analysis, supply pipeline, demand drivers, major tenants, market absorption).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years direct experience in asset or transaction management preferred.
  • Good numerical reasoning, including proficiency in Excel.
  • Team-oriented individual with strong verbal and written communication skills who is keen to continuously learn and develop in the role.
  • Strong teamwork and initiative coupled with good business awareness and financial acumen.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to form effective relationships with colleagues and teams from around the business as well as external stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel across Europe required.
  • Fluent in English, additional language skills in particular German, French or Spanish preferred.
