About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Factory Manager to join our team at International Procurement & Logistics. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the organisation and operation of the Production, Warehouse, and Ripening teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the highest quality and food safety standards are maintained throughout the factory, adhering to Company Health and Safety guidelines and industry regulations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase productivity, working closely with the scheduling team.
  • Lead and motivate a high-performing operations team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Collaborate with the site leadership team to evaluate and develop operational strategy and performance, ensuring alignment with organisational requirements.
  • Monitor and control budgets, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with internal SOPs, processes, and procedures, promoting a culture of accountability and responsibility.
  • Drive the delivery of key performance indicators (KPIs) and business targets, leveraging a culture of effective, consistent, and efficient practices.
Requirements:
  • Lean Manufacturing qualification covering Six Sigma and 5S, with experience in leading and coaching managers to drive forward results and step-change operational performance.
  • Proven track record in an operational management role, with a strong emphasis on leading, motivating, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop a people-centred culture based on the continuous pursuit of best practice in manufacturing.
  • Ambition and self-motivation, with a keen eye for quality and a strong knowledge of operating quality processes and systems.
