Academics Ltd is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in schools across Goole. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support children with a range of additional needs, ensuring they can access a meaningful, engaging, and inclusive education.

Job Overview

We are looking for a compassionate and adaptable individual to provide emotional and social support to students, helping them build confidence and positive peer relationships.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work one-to-one or in small groups with students to help them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting pupils with a variety of Special Educational Needs, including autism, ADHD, physical disabilities, and learning difficulties.
  • Assisting the classroom teacher in implementing tailored learning strategies, lesson adaptations, and behavior management techniques.
  • Providing emotional and social support to students, helping them build confidence and positive peer relationships.
What We're Looking For

Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN in an educational setting is desirable. A patient, empathetic, and positive approach to supporting children's learning and well-being is essential.

Salary & Benefits

We offer a competitive salary, estimated to be around £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also have the opportunity to gain experience in a range of settings, supporting children with different needs.
