Finance Business Partner Role at Marshalls

Marshalls, a leading UK manufacturer of natural stone and innovative concrete hard landscaping products, seeks an experienced Finance Business Partner to join its dynamic Business Finance Team. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with business leaders in the Natural Stone and Landscape Protection Business Units, driving growth and profitability.

The Role

This strategic position involves collaborating with key stakeholders to gain a comprehensive understanding of the business, accounts, reporting cycles, and financial performance. The successful candidate will take ownership of the P&L and their business unit's performance, using their keen judgment to manage and escalate issues effectively.

The selected individual will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate forecasts/budgets and monthly accounts, presenting insightful Business Review Packs to the Executive Leadership Team, and influencing key strategic decisions.

Key Skills and Experience

Required skills and experience include:

• Newly qualified accountant (CIMA or equivalent), or part-qualified and actively pursuing studies (study support available)
• Commercial business knowledge and FP&A experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint
• Ambitious, determined, and eager to engage with leadership teams, driven to challenge the norm, status quo, and contribute to strategic decision-making
• Team player with a strong motivation to succeed, resilience, well-organized, and structured approach
• Able to foster productive relationships across the businesses with multi-level contacts
• Experience using D365/ERP systems is a bonus
