Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Broadcasting and Media Schedule Coordinator to join our team at EngineeringUK.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in the heart of London, supporting the scheduling process for BBC Radio 4 and Radio 4 Extra. As a key member of the Presentation team, you will be responsible for preparing playout schedules, auditioning and scheduling programme audio, and liaising with the network team to resolve any issues.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain accurate information in systems and databases
  • Coordinate the continuous playout schedule, ensuring correct timings, version control, and compliance requirements
  • Manage supporting programme material, adhering to editorial guidelines and station sound requirements
  • Oversee the supply of standby content or cancel content as required
  • Contribute ideas and suggestions to improve processes and planning for scheduling decisions
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with radio programme playout systems (e.g., dira, OpenMedia) and scheduling databases (e.g., Proteus)
  • A thorough understanding of BBC Radio's audio technical requirements and non-audio deliverables
  • Excellent multi-project time management, planning, and prioritization skills
  • Proven proof-reading skills and attention to detail
