Job Summary:

Ladgov is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Church Music Director to lead our Protestant worship services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for directing all worship music, selecting music for performances, and ensuring the smooth execution of music-related activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Music Direction: Direct all worship music at Protestant worship services, ensuring a high-quality and engaging experience for our congregation.
  2. Music Selection: Select music for performances in coordination with the Chaplain, ensuring a diverse and relevant repertoire.
  3. Logistical Support: Submit requests for music resources, observe safety and security requirements, and ensure that newly acquired music is properly cataloged and filed.
  4. Choir Management: Recruit, train, and lead choir members in technique and musical notation, arranging for clinics, workshops, and basic music education instruction opportunities as needed.
  5. Coordination: Coordinate all music activities with the Senior Faith Group Chaplain, ensuring seamless execution and effective communication.
  6. Facilities Management: Ensure that all facilities are properly secured at the conclusion of each rehearsal or service.
  7. Research and Planning: Research and organize music selections to become familiar with music on hand, and plan the year's music and calendar in accordance with guidelines set forth by the Senior Faith Group Chaplain.
  8. Community Outreach: Provide choir support for military and civilian community events as an outreach.

While in the performance of their duties, the Church Music Director must wear appropriate professional business attire and present a neat and clean image.

Qualifications / Education:
  1. An undergraduate degree in music with a vocal/keyboard/piano/guitar proficiency in protestant music and ability to direct and accompany a praise and worship team, OR a minimum of five years' experience in leading a praise and worship team on vocal keyboard/piano/guitar in protestant music.
  2. Possesses high competence in vocal keyboard/piano/guitar techniques, music selection, and ability to accompany other musicians and congregational singing.
