Job Description

ESP Utilities Group Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Network Assurance Manager to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of asset construction and operations.

The Network Assurance Manager will have a key role in establishing and managing network analysis procedures, conducting network studies, and developing network management strategies. They will also be responsible for developing and reviewing commissioning policies and processes, as well as establishing and maintaining policies for statutory and operational labelling of assets.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with a degree qualification and several years' experience in electricity distribution/transmission network planning and network management. Chartership would be an advantage, though not essential.

The Network Assurance Manager will work closely with the Head of Electric Assets and other members of the senior management team to ensure that network assurance matters are addressed effectively. They will also engage with industrial partners to develop and review generation connection procedures and conduct regular technical and compliance discussions with customers and industrial stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have excellent relationship management skills, experience of delivery, installation, operation, and maintenance of electricity distribution networks, and knowledge of the regulatory and HSE framework. They will also have knowledge of the philosophy and principles relating to the design of electricity distribution networks, including protection and SCADA.

The Network Assurance Manager will be responsible for conducting asset condition analysis and defect/NCR trend analysis to inform policy decisions and operational investments. They will also report on safety and technical non-conformances, compile information, and manage targeted interventions, including drafting of Technical & Safety Bulletins.
