Job Title: Network Assurance Engineer

ESP Utilities Group Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Network Assurance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our asset management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of asset construction and operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and manage network analysis procedures to ensure network compliance, including load flows, fault levels, and system voltage under various operating conditions.
  • Develop and review network management strategy to establish substation control and data acquisition (SCADA) schemes and understand demand profiles and capacities available within the network.
  • Develop and maintain commissioning policy and processes, including commissioning and on-site test witnessing.
  • Establish and maintain policy/code of practice for statutory and operational labelling of assets to ensure compliance against ESQCR.
  • Develop and manage LV fault finding procedure and ensure compliance in its implementation.
  • Engage with industrial partners to develop and review generation connection procedure.
  • Conduct asset condition analysis and defect/NCR trend analysis to inform policy decisions and operational investment.
  • Report on safety and technical non-conformances, compile information, and manage targeted interventions, including drafting of Technical & Safety Bulletins.
Requirements:
  • Excellent relationship management skills across the business and with customers, consumers, and service providers.
  • Experience of delivery, installation, operation, and maintenance of electricity distribution networks operating at up to 132kV.
  • Knowledge of the Regulatory and HSE Framework.
  • Knowledge of the philosophy and principles relating to the design of electricity distribution networks, including protection and SCADA.
  • Knowledge of the management of the planning, construction, and operation of electricity networks.
  • Candidate should have an electrical engineering background with a degree qualification and several years' experience in electricity distribution/transmission network planning and network management.
