Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a school in Ripon. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in an EYFS classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to children with SEND, working under the supervision of a qualified teacher.
  • Assist in planning and delivering lessons, adapting materials to meet the needs of children with SEND.
  • Support children with daily living skills, personal care, and social skills.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure seamless support for children with SEND.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered with the update service (or willing to apply for one through ourselves).
  • Eligible to work in the UK (right to work in the UK documentation).
  • Recent experience within an EYFS classroom is desirable but not essential.
  • Level 2 Qualification or Higher in relevant area (Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, Early Childhood studies, Nursery Diploma, Childcare etc.).
