Job Title: Production Team Lead
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Team Lead to join our team at Maier UK Ltd. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes, maintaining high levels of quality and productivity, and leading a team of production staff to achieve our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Health and Safety:
- Ensure that all health and safety policies and procedures are implemented and maintained at all times.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Quality:
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure that all products meet our high standards.
- Monitor and report on quality metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Delivery:
- Plan and manage production schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines.
- Monitor and control inventory levels to ensure that we have the necessary materials to meet production requirements.
- Cost-Productivity:
- Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- Monitor and report on productivity metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Develop and implement training programs to upskill our production staff.
- Organisation-Development:
- Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance and productivity.
- Monitor and report on team metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Requirements:
- Knowledge and Experience:
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of production processes and quality control procedures.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
- Experience of leading a team and developing staff.
- Education and Qualifications:
- Formal education in management, such as a CMI Level 3 or higher.
- Formal education in HSE, such as IOSH or NEBOSH.
