**Job Title:** Academic Writing Lecturer

 

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced educator to join our team as an Academic Writing Lecturer at a prestigious college in Cambridge. This is an exceptional opportunity for a qualified professional to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students with learning disabilities.

 

**Key Responsibilities:*

  • Course Team Lead: Lead a group of students with moderate entry-level learning needs, providing guidance and support throughout their program.
  • Quality Assurance: Contribute to the department's internal Quality Assurance processes, ensuring the highest standards of education and training.
  • Tutoring and Teaching: Deliver effective teaching and learning development programs, including English and maths at Entry and Level 1, to prepare students for functional skills qualifications.
  • EHCP Targets: Track and monitor students' EHCP targets over time, supporting and monitoring progress in line with RARPA processes.

 

**Essential Qualifications and Requirements:*

  • Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS) or equivalent qualification.
  • Level 4+ in either Subject Specific Specialism (Creative subject, art, drama, music, media) or Diploma in Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) L5 – L7.
