About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Healthcare Assistant to join our Critical Care team at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. This is a full-time position based at the Ipswich Hospital site.

Main Responsibilities

As a Healthcare Assistant in our Critical Care team, you will provide excellent support to our patients and their families, working closely with our well-established team of nurses and healthcare assistants. You will be responsible for developing your competence and confidence through a programme of supervised practice, critical care specific competencies, and development days specifically for Band 3 staff.

Requirements

  • Completed Care Certificate or willingness to work towards
  • Good standard in basic education qualifications
  • Evidence of completed competencies, including professional portfolio

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Critical Care HCA Competency Programme
  • Willingness to undertake further study/education/development
  • Evidence of further development
  • Previous critical care experience
  • Insight into critical care environment
