Compliance Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Compliance Consultant to play a crucial role in ensuring that our organisation adheres to regulatory requirements and internal policies. This position is essential for maintaining the integrity of our operations and fostering a culture of compliance within the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with policies and regulations, ensuring that our organisation remains compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports accurately and in a timely manner, providing stakeholders with clear and concise information on our compliance status.
  • Monitor changes in legislation and regulatory requirements affecting the banking sector, staying up-to-date with the latest developments and ensuring that our organisation is prepared to adapt.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance management is integrated into all business processes, promoting a culture of compliance throughout the organisation.
  • Develop and implement compliance training programmes for staff to promote awareness of regulatory obligations, ensuring that all employees understand their roles and responsibilities in maintaining compliance.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of compliance activities, findings, and corrective actions taken, providing a clear audit trail and ensuring that all stakeholders have access to relevant information.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies during inspections or inquiries, providing clear and concise information and ensuring that our organisation is represented in a professional and compliant manner.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in compliance management within the banking sector or related fields, with a strong understanding of regulatory reporting requirements and internal audit processes.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex compliance issues clearly to various stakeholders, including employees, regulatory agencies, and other external parties.
  • Proficient in using compliance management software and tools, with the ability to analyse data and identify areas for improvement.
  • Relevant qualifications in finance, law, or a related discipline are preferred but not essential, as we are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional who can bring a high level of expertise to this role.
