Job Role

We are seeking a Power Distribution Engineer Apprentice to join our team in Barnsley, UK. As an apprentice, you will assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of street lighting systems, while gaining valuable skills and knowledge in power distribution engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of street lighting systems
  • Learn about power distribution systems and contribute to their design and implementation
  • Develop your skills and knowledge through block release training programs

Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs grades A-C / 9-4 (or equivalent) including Maths, English Language and Science
  • A genuine interest in engineering demonstrated through relevant work placements, studies, hobbies, or projects
  • A strong commitment to safety and PPE requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £22,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes 26 days holiday + bank holidays, a generous pension scheme, life cover, bonus, and the choice of 20 flexible benefits with tax and/or NI savings.
