Our client, a renowned mortgage business in Essex, is seeking a skilled Finance Manager to join their growing team. With over 50 staff members and a nationwide network of Mortgage Advisers, this organization has established itself as a leader in the industry.
Salary & Benefits
The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of £45,000 - £50,000 per annum, plus a bonus and benefits package. This attractive compensation reflects the company's commitment to rewarding its employees for their hard work and dedication.
Job Description
The Finance Manager will play a crucial role in preparing the monthly management accounts, monthly board packs, cash flow forecasts, and maintaining key controls within the finance department. They will also be responsible for quarterly VAT returns and assisting the external accountants with statutory accounts and Corporation Tax returns.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop efficient processes to support business operations
- Lead the completion of an accurate profit and loss statement on the first working day of each month
- Prepare quarterly board packs
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Prepare cash-flow forecasts as part of regular cash reviews
- Manage office-based (Hornchurch) finance team, currently comprising three individuals
- Oversee commission reconciliation processes
- Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and new business reporting for leadership teams
Skills & Experience
- High-level Excel skills and financial modeling/data extraction expertise are essential
- Part-qualified or recently qualified ACCA or CIMA certification
- Hybrid working arrangement, with at least three days spent in the Hornchurch office
- Experience working in a fast-paced, rapidly growing business environment
- Proven track record of collaboration with business partners
- Accuracy and attention to detail are vital for success in this role
