Culture, Learning & Libraries (Midlands) is seeking a talented Creative Technologist for Youth Ensemble to join our team. This exciting opportunity involves working on the innovative Able Orchestra project, which aims to support young people aged 11-25 from across Nottinghamshire to develop skills and confidence in making and performing music and digital art.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering digital production and/or innovation as part of the regular term-time inclusive Able Orchestra Ensemble sessions in North and South Nottinghamshire. The role involves working with young people to develop skills and confidence in digital art-making through accessible approaches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality digital production sessions that support young people with physical and/or learning disabilities, and/or those who are neurodivergent.
  • Work alongside a Musical Director to support music and digital development throughout the ensemble delivery and towards performance.
  • Collaborate with the Inspire Youth Arts team and Steering group members to provide exceptional performance experiences for participants.

Requirements:

  • Professional experience working as a digital practitioner, creative, innovator, or producer.
  • Ability to use a wide range of technology and media, adapting approaches to digital production with young people depending on their level of skill, experience, and access needs.
  • Experience of delivering high-quality inclusive digital sessions that support young people with physical and/or learning disabilities, and/or those who are neurodivergent.
  • Understanding of the social model of disability and the barriers that young disabled people face to digital production/innovation.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is £30 per hour, with opportunities for freelance work on a regular basis. We offer a competitive rate of pay, plus expenses and travel costs covered.
