Electrical Engineering Director Job Description

Our client, a leading provider of electrical engineering solutions, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Director to join their team. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of electrical engineering projects and ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of electrical engineers to deliver technical design work and projects
  • Develop and implement electrical engineering strategies and policies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated design solutions
  • Ensure compliance with relevant design standards and codes
  • Grow and develop electrical engineering capability within the practice

Requirements:

  • Chartered Electrical Engineer with a degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Proven experience in owning design delivery, including multidisciplinary design
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical design, including LV and HV systems, motor control centres/switchgear, and electrical installations
  • Experience in managing time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes
