About the Role
We're seeking a skilled writer with a deep understanding of the night sky and a passion for sharing their knowledge with others. As a Sky Watching Writer, you'll be responsible for planning and writing feature and educational content throughout the astronomical calendar. You'll work closely with our editorial team to ensure all articles are search engine optimised and engaging to our readers.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and write feature and educational content throughout the astronomical calendar
- Identify trending news and lead breaking sky watching coverage across the site and our social channels
- Work with the content team to ensure the sky watching channel is fresh and engaging
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone with a strong background in astronomy and a passion for writing. You'll have a deep understanding of the night sky and be able to communicate complex ideas in an engaging and accessible way. You'll also have experience in a content role on an editorial website and be able to work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
