Job Title: Fund Accountant

As a Fund Accountant at Barings LLC, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the portfolio management and investment team to manage and build relationships with third-party fund administrators.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily cash forecasting, monitoring investment activities, and managing liquidity requirements.
  • Manage credit and leverage facility operations, including drawdown, repayment, payment process, and covenant reporting.
  • Oversee quarterly financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Manage management fee and performance fee calculations.
  • Oversee and recalculate fund performance metrics, such as IRRs and Investment Multiples, at both fund and asset levels.
  • Produce investor reporting packages, including investment manager's reports, portfolio details reports, and ad-hoc reporting.
  • Aid the investment team in deal funding processes to ensure timely funding.
  • Collaborate with internal and external parties for the fund's external audit.
  • Provide support from a fund finance perspective for regulatory and compliance reporting, including AIFMD, Solvency II, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in ad-hoc projects to improve fund oversight models, processes, and controls.

Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification is required, ideally from a big 4 or top 10 accountancy firm.
  • Prior closed-end fund experience is desirable, with a background in fund management, fund accounting, fund administration, or fund audit.
  • Experience in private credit and infrastructure debt is highly desirable.
  • Extensive experience in multi-currency equalisation, hedging strategy, and new fund launch is highly desirable.
  • Proactive and able to work with minimal supervision, with a keen desire to learn.
  • Excellent skills in Excel, Power BI, Data Analysis and Visualisation, and Automations.
