About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Bar Supervisor to join our team at the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa in Edinburgh.

As a Bar Supervisor, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences and ensuring that our bar operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding guest service by anticipating and meeting the needs of our guests.
  • Lead the bar team to achieve strategic departmental goals and maintain high standards of service.
  • Direct daily bar activities to ensure that guest expectations are exceeded and standards are consistently maintained.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure seamless communication and transfer of information.
  • Implement and monitor internal SOP's and global Brand Standards to increase service efficiency.
  • Allocate and monitor daily tasks to ensure that all associates are utilized constructively.
  • Provide effective on-job training and coaching of new staff to develop a highly skilled and motivated team.
  • Take an active role in planning promotions and working closely with the Bar Manager and F&B Team.

Requirements

  • Previous supervisory experience in a 5-star environment is preferred but not essential.
  • Must possess basic computational ability and knowledge of hotel policy and fire-safety procedures.
  • 2 years' experience within Bar Service and excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be able to maintain a high level of product and service knowledge to explain and sell services to guests.
  • Must be a team player with experience of building positive working relationships and promoting team spirit.
  • Excellent command of English language (verbal and written) and excellent organizational skills.
