Job Title: Mental Health Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Graduate to join our team as a Mental Health Assistant at a remarkable SEMH school in Wokingham, Berkshire.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will work alongside therapists and psychologists to provide support to children with Social and Emotional Mental Health Needs. The role involves working with children aged 5-16, providing consistent and ongoing support to ensure they receive the highest quality of care and child-centred support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support children with behaviour and mental health issues
  • Work alongside therapists and psychologists to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to children
  • Assist with daily living tasks and activities
Requirements:

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about the mental wellbeing of children and has a strong desire to build a career in therapy or psychology. Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will be mentored and have the opportunity to shadow sessions and learn from experienced professionals.
