Mental Health Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Mental Health Assistant to join our team at a SEMH school in Wokingham. As a Mental Health Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

About the Role:

  • Provide emotional support and guidance to children with SEMH needs
  • Work closely with therapists and psychologists to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Assist with daily living tasks and activities to promote independence and well-being
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in mental health or a related field
  • Ability to work with children with complex needs and challenging behaviors
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
