About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Monopile Design Lead to join our team in the UK. As a key member of our offshore wind capability, you will be responsible for leading the technical design and development of a diverse range of offshore wind foundation types.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical design and development of offshore wind foundation types, including monopiles and other innovative structures.
  • Engage in Joint Industry Projects (JIPs), collaborations with academia, and partnerships with technology vendors to develop and implement novel processes and methods for offshore wind project designs.
  • Drive innovation in design and analysis tools, ensuring the development of efficient and effective processes for a variety of projects.
  • Support the acquisition and execution of offshore wind projects through all stages of development, offering creative solutions for design, repair, and upgrades.
  • Act as a Technical Lead and Subject Matter Expert (SME) in primary steel design and Integrated Load Analysis (ILA) across a range of offshore wind projects.
Requirements
  • Engineering degree, honours or equivalent in civil, mechanical, structural, naval architecture or similar.
  • Strong technical expertise in stress and structural analysis, understanding various offshore design codes.
  • Ability to develop, execute, and report on complex analysis models using a diverse array of software packages.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience in mentoring and guiding a team of engineers.
