We are seeking a skilled Breakfast Chef to join our team at the Mercure Blackburn Dunkenhalgh Hotel & Spa. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality breakfast and buffet dishes to our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook breakfast and buffet dishes to a high standard, ensuring exceptional quality and presentation.
- Manage food cost controls and contribute to controlling costs, improving gross profit margins, and other departmental and financial targets.
- Supervise and manage staff, ensuring a positive and efficient working environment.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and throughout the hotel.
- Assist with guest queries and provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience for our guests.
- Passionate about food and cooking, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Ability to work morning, afternoon, and evening shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, with a commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
