Senior Childcare Practitioner Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Senior Childcare Practitioner to join our team at Rainbow Nursery, a workplace nursery for staff working for East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of childcare practitioners, providing high-quality care and education to children aged 6 months to 8 years. The ideal candidate will have a minimum NVQ level 3 in Childcare & Education, experience working with children under 5 years, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of childcare practitioners to provide high-quality care and education to children
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate play opportunities and activities
  • Ensure the nursery environment is safe and free from hazards
  • Maintain accurate records of children's routines, progress, and development
  • Work collaboratively with the Childcare Manager and Lead Senior Nursery Nurse to ensure the smooth operation of the nursery
Requirements
  • Minimum NVQ level 3 in Childcare & Education
  • Experience working with children under 5 years
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team
