Senior Childcare Practitioner Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Senior Childcare Practitioner to join our team at Rainbow Nursery, a workplace nursery for staff working for East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children aged 6 months to 8 years, working in partnership with the Childcare Manager and assisting the Lead Senior Nursery Nurse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support staff in the nursery
  • Ensure all requirements, policies, and procedures are met and maintained
  • Provide play opportunities and interact with children
  • Prepare termly reports for parents on their child's progress
  • Administer first aid to children when necessary
  • Report any safeguarding child protection issues to management
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 in Childcare & Education or equivalent
  • Experience with children under 5 years
  • Excellent knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Effective communication skills
  • Flexibility in working hours
