About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fuel Point Assistant to join our team at the London and North Western Railway Company Limited. As a Fuel Point Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our fuel point and CET plant, delivering high-quality performance and maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate the fuel point and CET plant to deliver high-quality performance and maintain the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
  • Carry out overnight servicing on a variety of customer trains, including replenishment of coolants, oils, fuels, sanding systems, and screenwash.
  • Fuelling of traction units, filling toilet water tanks, filling wholesome water tanks, and topping up of any other on-train systems.
  • Carry out activities to documented Vehicle Maintenance Instructions.
  • Cover for the Operations Controller as and when required.
Requirements
  • Solid understanding of relevant health and safety and environmental standards.
  • Ability to problem-solve and work part of a team.
  • Previous experience in and understanding of rail vehicle maintenance activities.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Engineering is desirable.
