Salary: Competitive Pay to Scale rates from day one through PAYE, estimated at £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Role: As an Academic English Mentor with Progress Teachers Ltd, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with varying Special Educational Needs (SEN) and behavioral requirements. Your 1:1 and small-group teaching approach will help students overcome barriers to learning and achieve positive progress.

Responsibilities:
  • Support class teachers and the SENDCO with daily tasks, promoting a collaborative learning environment.
  • Implement the school's ethos and values, fostering a sense of community and respect among students.
  • Promote high expectations for pupils, encouraging them to reach their full potential.
  • Provide targeted support to students, addressing their individual needs and developing personalized learning plans.
  • Attend Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge, ensuring you stay up-to-date with best practices in SEN support.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with students, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
  • Care for the physical, social, and emotional well-being of students, creating a safe and nurturing environment.
