Opportunity Summary

CISWO seeks a qualified Senior Social Worker to spearhead service delivery in our Pontefract office, overseeing a team of professionals who provide vital support to former miners and their families.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the social care team in providing exceptional outcomes-focused support services.
  2. Manage a limited caseload of complex cases, involving detailed assessments and personalized interventions.
  3. Function as the safeguarding lead for the area, guiding the team to act swiftly in response to emerging issues.
  4. Implement strategies to enhance service efficiency and ensure seamless casework management across the team.
  5. Supervise the delivery of multi-faceted support services, encompassing benefit guidance, mobility assistance, social isolation mitigation, and financial counseling.
Necessary Qualifications:
  • Qualifications in social work or a related field, combined with active professional registration.
  • Practical experience in community-based social care services focused on elderly and disabled populations.
  • Thorough understanding of core principles guiding adult social care in community settings.
  • Familiarity with pertinent laws and regulations affecting care delivery, particularly concerning elderly persons, mental health, and disability support.
  • Current driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.
