About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Medical Telephonist to join our dedicated call-handling team at Station Medical Centre. As a Medical Telephonist, you will play a vital role in supporting the care pathway of patients, receiving telephone calls, making appointments, and providing administrative support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Care Navigation: Use predefined care navigation templates to ask patients questions about their needs and record accurately into the template.
  • Telephone Handling: Receive and make telephone calls, handle requests for home visits, and take messages.
  • Administrative Support: Manage call demand, action patients' tasks, and file electronic records.
  • Reception Duties: Provide administrative support to the practice, including answering reception emails and using the AccuRX texting system.

Requirements

  • Experience of dealing with the public and working with computer packages.
  • Ability to work under pressure and use own judgement, resourcefulness, and common sense.
  • Pleasant and articulate communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of an integrated multi-skilled team.
