**Call Handler**

**The role of the Call Handler will be too**:
- To act as a Medical Telephonist in a Care Navigation Call Centre
- Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers’ request appropriately
- Signpost all patients to the correct service
- Identify and understand patient needs and requirements, through appropriate questioning
- Maintain high standards of patient confidentiality.
- Carry out all necessary general office duties
- Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times
**The suitable Call Handler will**:
- Have previous work history in a similar fast paced environment
- Demonstrate an outgoing, friendly personality with a desire to meet new people
- Have the ability to build rapport quickly and effectively
- Have the ability to stay calm under pressure and to be able to multi-task in a similar environment
- Demonstrate a willingness to adapt to the changing working practices of a busy medical environment
- Have good administrative, IT and keyboard skills
**The successful Call Handler will receive**:
- £10.50ph
