Job Description

As an Associate Infrastructure Engineer - Linux Team, you'll be working on projects that drive the delivery of weather services to customers worldwide. Your focus will be on supporting the Linux estate, ensuring it's secure and compliant.

  • Develop your knowledge and skills of Linux technologies to support and maintain the Linux estate at the Met Office.
  • Using the Service Management toolset, respond to incidents, manage changes, and investigate problems to a satisfactory conclusion, minimizing disruption to Linux services and ensuring service continuity of the Linux estate.
Required Skills and Qualifications

We're looking for an eager learner with an aptitude for quickly understanding and solving problems. A real enthusiasm for working in IT, ideally with experience of Linux technologies, is essential. Effective planning and communication with users and colleagues are also crucial.
