Senior Ecologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Ecologist to join our Environment and Health division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and undertaking ecological surveys, reporting, and ecological mitigation design. Your expertise will be essential in delivering high-quality projects and maintaining a good balance of field and desk-based work.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Manage small to medium-scale projects, with input on large-scale projects, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality results.
- Ecological Surveys: Plan and undertake ecological surveys, including habitat and species surveys, and produce high-quality reports.
- Ecological Mitigation Design: Develop and implement effective ecological mitigation strategies to minimize the impact of development on the environment.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with ecological regulators, planning authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and manage more junior ecologists and sub-consultants, and contribute to resource planning.
We are looking for a highly organized and motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will have a strong understanding of relevant environmental and ecology legislation, as well as experience in field work and survey techniques. You will be able to work efficiently and effectively to deadlines, and have a high level of proficiency in MS Office and ArcGIS or QGIS.
