Role Overview

We are seeking a commercially savvy self-starter who has a hands-on approach to fill this new role. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the retail industry and be able to drive and develop our retail portfolio while negotiating and managing our existing lease events to make every store a great asset to the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Company Secretary and CEO to understand the growth strategy and brand aspirations for each banner.
  • Identify and understand the customer demographics and location profiles to optimize the profit contribution dynamics.
  • Analyze and present potential locations and properties following a detailed investigation and analysis of the potential for revenue generation and brand fit.
  • Lead the end-to-end process of property acquisition, from identifying potential locations and properties that best fit the target brand to negotiating leases and finalizing terms and contracts.
  • Through effective networking, build and maintain relationships within the property sector to be best placed to negotiate favorable terms.
  • Engage and communicate with key stakeholders to ensure that new acquisitions are ready to trade quickly, and any action required due to a lease event is effectively communicated in a sensitive and timely manner.

Requirements

  • Commercial acumen and strong negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrable experience in a retail property acquisition role.
  • Develop store optimization strategy.
  • Up-to-date market knowledge of the retail store landscape.
  • Ability to analyze and present key store performance metrics.
  • Understanding of property law, regulations, and leasing practices.
  • Ability and desire to travel frequently in line with the needs of the role.
  • Ability to adapt to frequent change and a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding loyalty and commitment to the business.
