Job Summary
The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking a skilled and experienced Housing Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our Housing Operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our residential services, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our service users.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the delivery of housing services, including maintenance, repairs, and property management.
- Supervise and support a team of housing staff, providing guidance and training to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver excellent service.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and service delivery.
- Monitor and report on service performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a housing or residential services management role.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with service users, staff, and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, including the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
