Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with statutory legal requirements and company policies. This will involve promoting a positive health and safety culture, adhering to procedures, and completing necessary documentation.

The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive range of engineering knowledge and suitable practical experience for trouble shooting and installation work. CompEx Mechanical qualifications and experience working in hazardous areas are essential. Experience and knowledge gained working within top tier CoMAH regulations, including corresponding environmental, health and safety legislative requirements, are fundamental to this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all tasks performed are conducted to good Health, Safety and Environmental practices.
  • Follow task risk assessment instructions to ensure suitability.
  • Timely completion of CMMS tasks and routines while complying with health and safety requirements.
  • Aiming to achieve efficient and maximized operation of equipment.
  • Suitable precautions must be used to ensure all work, process break-ins, and isolations are communicated.
  • Safe and efficient return to service of plant equipment.
  • Record details from equipment breakdowns to improve reliability and performance.
  • Contribute to full periodic review of task instructions against guidance and best practices.
  • Ensure all COSHH, hazard, and risk assessments control measures are highlighted and included.
  • Walk through all jobs prior to starting to ensure suitable precautions, access, isolations, and cleaning have been provided.
  • Responsible to update the engineering supervisor with daily communications.
  • Assist the Engineering supervisor to plan and manage maintenance and shutdown schedules.
What You'll Need

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A comprehensive range of engineering knowledge.
  • Suitable practical experience for trouble shooting and installation work.
  • CompEx Mechanical qualifications.
  • Experience working in hazardous areas.
  • Experience and knowledge gained working within top tier CoMAH regulations.
