Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our client schools in Lincoln. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with varying needs, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), to enhance their learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons under the guidance of teaching staff.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students, helping them engage with their learning effectively.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation and learning.
  • Help monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers to aid in their development.
  • Support students with varying needs, including those with SEN, to enhance their learning experience.
  • Promote positive behaviour and a respectful classroom environment.
  • Assist with classroom management and organisation to ensure a productive learning space.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational or support role.
  • A strong desire to support students and help them succeed academically and personally.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
  • A patient and empathetic approach to working with diverse learning needs.
  • Ability to work flexibly as part of a team and adapt to the needs of the classroom.
  • An up-to-date CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one).
